Introduction- About ICAI & Placement

  • The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is a statutory body established under the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949, to regulate and develop the Chartered Accountancy profession in India. ICAI functions under the administrative control of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India and is recognized as the largest accounting body in the world.
  • ICAI conducts Campus Placement Programmes for newly qualified Chartered Accountants to connect them with leading organizations across various industries. These campus placements provide a structured platform where companies can recruit talented Chartered Accountants and candidates can begin their professional careers with reputed organizations.
  • The 64th ICAI Campus Placement Programme is being conducted for candidates who have successfully cleared the CA Final Examination held in January 2026. The interviews will be conducted across multiple centres in India during April and May 2026.

The Objective of Campus Placement

The main objective of the ICAI Campus Placement Programme is to provide a transparent and organized recruitment platform for newly qualified Chartered Accountants.

Through this programme:

  • Companies can recruit highly skilled and trained Chartered Accountants.

  • Newly qualified CAs get the opportunity to start their careers with reputed organizations.

  • Recruiters can assess candidates for roles in audit, taxation, consulting, finance, risk management, and corporate strategy.

  • ICAI acts as a facilitator connecting recruiters and talented professionals.

The campus placement programme has become one of the most trusted recruitment platforms for organizations looking to hire Chartered Accountants.

Process of Participation

Recruiting organizations and eligible candidates participate in the campus placement programme through the ICAI Placement Portal.

The participation process includes the following steps:

  1. Recruiters register on the ICAI placement portal.

  2. After registration and payment of participation fees, recruiters receive access to the candidate database.

  3. Organizations shortlist candidates based on their academic records, experience, attempts, and other criteria.

  4. Shortlisted candidates are required to give consent for interviews.

  5. Interviews are conducted at the respective campus centres.

  6. Selected candidates receive offer letters through the placement portal.

Campus Placement Process & Registration Fees

  • The whole process of ICAI Campus Placement is regulated online, and professional aspirants have to register on the ICAI Placement Portal (CMI&B).
  • Candidates who have qualified the CA Final Examination in January 2026 and wish to participate in the 64th Campus Placement Programme (April–May 2026) must complete their registration through the official ICAI placement portal.
  • The registration window for candidates will be available on the ICAI Placement Portal, and candidates are advised to complete their registration within the specified timeline announced by ICAI. No extensions are usually granted once the registration deadline closes.
  • Candidates can select their preferred interview centres during the registration process. ICAI conducts campus interviews across multiple major and small centres across India.
  • The registration fee for the ICAI Campus Placement Programme is ₹500, which must be paid online while submitting the registration form.
  • After the registration process is completed, the participating organizations will shortlist candidates based on their academic performance, number of attempts, articleship exposure, and other eligibility criteria specified by the recruiters.
  • Candidates who are shortlisted must provide their consent for interviews through the placement portal within the specified timeline.
  • Once a candidate has accepted an offer and signed the declaration form but fails to join the organization, the candidate will be required to pay a Commitment Charge of ₹5,000 to ICAI as per the campus placement rules.

Centers for Interviews

ICAI conducts interviews in two parts, one is a major center and the second one is an other center.

Major centers include Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi & Pune.

Other centers include Noida, Thane, Bhubaneswar, Visakhapatnam, Coimbatore, Ernakulam, Indore, Bhopal, Durgapur, Lucknow, Nagpur, Patna, Rajkot, Ranchi, Raipur, Vadodara, Chandigarh, Kanpur, Ratlam & Guwahati.

The registration for major centers and other centers is done separately on the ICAI Placement Portal, and candidates can select their preferred centre during the registration process.

The interviews for the ICAI Campus Placement Programme will be conducted at the respective campus centres as scheduled by ICAI.

The timing for the interviews on all days will generally be from 9:30 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. as far as possible.

Only those candidates who are shortlisted by the recruiting organizations and who give their consent on the placement portal within the specified dates will be allowed to appear for the interviews.

Candidates must ensure that they reach the interview venue at least 30 minutes before their scheduled interview time and carry all necessary documents such as resume, membership details, and other required certificates.

Recruiters will conduct interviews for the shortlisted candidates and the final selection results will be uploaded on the ICAI Placement Portal.

Candidates who receive an offer from a recruiting organization will be required to accept or decline the offer within the time limit specified by ICAI.

Once a candidate accepts an offer through the campus placement programme, he or she will not be allowed to participate in further interviews under the same campus placement cycle.

Campus Placement Rules

Candidates have to obtain a membership number after passing CA Final examination or provide the date for obtaining a membership number.

Candidate has to complete MCS and advanced IIT certification courses and quote their respective number in the registration form.

A maximum of four companies can be selected by the candidate for the interview and required to give consent to the companies.

ICAI has laid down the dress code to be followed by the candidates appearing for the interviews.

The shortlisting status of various companies, as well as information regarding Written/ Psychometric/ Interview tests etc., will go to the respective candidate’s login.

In the event of not being selected for the bigger center but wishing to change to the smaller center, you can do so through the portal.

If you are not in genuine need of a job, avoid registering for the Campus Placement Program.
