With over 400,000 members and nearly a million students globally, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) stands as one of the largest professional accounting bodies in the world. The upcoming 61st ICAI Campus Placement 2025 marks another milestone in this illustrious journey. Key Dates and Eligibility

The ICAI Campus Placement Programme for February-March 2025 is organized at 29 centres across India, catering to all qualified Chartered Accountants from diverse geographical regions.  

Registration Period

Registration for November 2024 pass-out candidates will end on 10th January 2025. This registration period is crucial as it determines your eligibility to participate in the campus placements. 

Candidates may opt for one bigger (Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi & Pune) and one smaller centre (Bhubaneswar, Bhopal, Chandīgarh, Coimbatore, Durgapur, Ernakulam, Guwahati, Indore, Kanpur, Lucknow, Nagpur, Noida, Patna, Rajkot, Ranchi, Raipur, Ratlam, Thane, Vadodara & Visakhapatnam). 

Eligible Candidates

  • November 2024 Pass-outs: Candidates must have successfully cleared the November 2024 Final CA Examination.
  • Completion of Articleship: Articleship training must be completed by July 31, 2025.
  • Previous Attempts: Candidates who passed out in May 2024 but did not register for the August-September 2024 regular campus interview programme.

ICAI Campus Placement 2025 Interview Schedule

Below is the detailed schedule for interviews across all participating centres:

  • Bigger Centres:
    • Mumbai: 4th-11th February, 2025
    • New Delhi: 5th-12th February, 2025
    • Bengaluru: 6th-13th February, 2025
    • Chennai: 7th-14th February, 2025
    • Kolkata: 8th-15th February, 2025
    • Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Jaipur and Pune: 5th-11th February, 2025
  • Smaller Centres:
    • Bhopal, Lucknow, Nagpur, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Rajkot, Vadodara, Visakhapatnam, Durgapur and Ernakulam: 11th-12th March, 2025
    • Noida and Thane: 17th-19th March, 2025
    • Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Kanpur and Indore: 18th-20th March, 2025

How to Register for ICAI Campus Placement 2025?

Obtain ICAI Membership: Immediately after passing the CA final examination, obtain your ICAI membership. This is a prerequisite for campus placement registration.

Quote Membership Details: Quote the Membership number or acknowledgement receipt number issued on the online portal for online registration. Otherwise, fill out the online undertaking with the expected date of obtaining membership.

Quote Advance MCS Certificate: Mention the certificate number or the expected date of enrollment for the Advance MCS batch, which should start by 3rd February 2025.

Online Registration: Visit the ICAI Placement Portal and log in to your account using your Roll Number. This portal will be your primary interface for all campus placement activities.

Check Details: Ensure all the information is entered into the portal. Incomplete or incorrect data may lead to cancellation of your participation

Shortlisting and Interview Process

  • Shortlisting: Organizations will shortlist candidates online. Candidates must regularly check their status on the ICAI placement portal to stay informed about their application status.
  • Consent Giving: Candidates can consent to interviews with up to four organizations. If not selected at a bigger center, they can opt for interviews at smaller centers.
  • Written or Psychometric Tests (If any): Some recruiters may conduct preliminary tests to evaluate candidates’ technical and behavioral skills.
  • Interview Attendance: Once consent is given, attendance at interviews is mandatory. Failure to attend without prior notice will be taken seriously by ICAI.

General Guidelines

  • Dress Code: Adhere to the recommended dress code for interviews to ensure a professional appearance.
  • Check Login Regularly: Stay updated with shortlisting status, interview schedules, and other important information through your login on the ICAI portal.
  • Acceptance of Offers: Only accept one offer. After acceptance, you will not be able to attend other interviews.
  • Commitment Charges: A fee of Rs. 5,000/- will be charged for not joining a company after signing the Declaration Form. This is to ensure commitment and prevent blocking opportunities for other candidates.
  • Special Permission: Candidates under 21 years old need special permission to participate. Contact ICAI for this special provision.

Steps to a Successful Placement

Preparation:

    • Research Companies: Understand the companies participating in the placement, as well as their work culture, job roles, and requirements.
    • Practice Interviews: Conduct mock interviews with peers or mentors to build confidence.
    • Update Resume: Ensure your resume is up-to-date with all relevant information, including internships, projects, and certifications.

Documentation:

      • Keep Ready: Have all necessary documents like ICAI membership, mark sheets, and certificates ready and accessible.
      • Verify Accuracy: Double-check all details on the portal to avoid any discrepancies.

Professionalism:

      • Dress Code: Follow the recommended dress code strictly. First impressions matter.
      • Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with recruiters and during interviews.

During the Interviews:

  • Be Punctual: Arrive on time for your interviews.
  • Show Enthusiasm: Display genuine interest in the company and the role you are applying for.
  • Ask Questions: Engage with the interviewers by asking insightful questions about the company and the job role.

Post-Interview:

  • Follow Up: Send a thank-you email to the interviewers expressing your gratitude for the opportunity.
  • Stay Updated: Keep checking your portal login for updates on your selection status and further instructions.

Special Tips for Applying to Smaller Centres

  • Extended Registration: Take advantage of the extended registration period till 23rd February 2025 for smaller centers.
  • Multiple Options: If you do not get selected in a bigger center, consider smaller centers where the competition might be less intense, and opportunities still abound.
